A community-led initiative establishing a local Islamic presence in Kidbrooke, South East London.
Kidbrooke Islamic Centre was founded to address a clear need — the growing Muslim community in Kidbrooke, Blackheath, Eltham, and the wider SE London area deserves a dedicated space for worship, education, and community building.
We are a community-led initiative, run by local volunteers who are passionate about serving their neighbours. Our work is driven by the belief that every community deserves access to spiritual guidance, quality education, and a sense of belonging.
Based at the Kidbrooke Community Hub, we provide weekly Jummah prayers, a structured Madrassa programme, and academic tuition — all under one roof.
Three pillars guide everything we do at Kidbrooke Islamic Centre.
We believe education is the foundation of a thriving community. From Qur'anic studies to academic tuition, we invest in the intellectual and spiritual development of our youth, equipping them to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
We bring people together. Kidbrooke Islamic Centre is a welcoming space for Muslims of all backgrounds, ages, and nationalities. We foster a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood through shared prayer, learning, and community activities.
Faith and education should be accessible to everyone. We strive to remove barriers — offering affordable services, flexible class formats (in-person and online), and a central location with excellent transport links and parking.
We deliver clear, well-structured services that meet the needs of our community.
Every Friday, our community gathers for congregational Jummah prayers at Kidbrooke Community Hub. Our sermons address contemporary issues from an Islamic perspective, providing spiritual guidance for everyday life.

Enrol NowBeyond our core services, we organise community events, support local families, and work to build bridges within the wider Kidbrooke community. We believe in being active, contributing members of our neighbourhood.
Kidbrooke Islamic Centre is not run by a distant organisation — it is built, managed, and sustained by local community members who volunteer their time, skills, and resources. Every service we offer, every class we teach, and every prayer we lead is made possible by the dedication of your neighbours.
We are transparent in our operations, accountable to our community, and committed to the highest standards of governance. We welcome support from individuals, organisations, and funders who share our vision of a thriving, educated, and united community.
